HONG KONG (March 6, 2008) Madame Tussauds Hong Kong hopes to give local football fans the chance to see double this weekend as it extends an invitation to David Beckham to meet…well… himself at The Peak! The football hero’s incredible wax likeness has donned a new Galaxy uniform in honour of the Galaxy exhibition tour in Asia, which is set to conclude on Sunday, March 9 in a friendly match against Hong Kong Union at Hong Kong stadium. "David Beckham continues to be one of our most popular celebrities at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and the real Beckham has never had the opportunity to see himself permanently featured 'above' the city. We hope Beckham will be able to visit the attraction sometime over the weekend, but at this stage we can't say when," said Bret Pidgeon, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. Tickets for the Los Angeles Galaxy – Hong Kong Union match go on sale today, and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is offering all ticket holders a HK$20 discount off the regular price of admission to the attraction from March 6 until March 31, 2008. Football fans need only present their original ticket, or ticket stub to take advantage of this great offer. |
